Full – Time Secondary Behaviour Support – Totton, Hampshire

GSL Education are offering a full-time Behaviour Support Assistant role at a vibrant secondary school in Totton with working hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm (full-time), Monday to Friday (term-time only). The role is available to start immediately, with an annual salary between £21,500 to £24,500, depending on experience — a meaningful reward for a truly meaningful role.
Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.
* Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to implement behaviour support strategies and action plans.
* Help create a positive learning environment where every student feels seen, supported, and encouraged.
* Support students in developing emotional resilience and making positive behavioural choices.
* Foster trust and build strong, professional relationships with students to aid their academic and personal growth.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in behaviour support or related roles such as youth work, social care, or pastoral support.
* A calm, confident, and empathetic communicator with a passion for supporting young people.
* Someone resilient, patient, and adaptable with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
* Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
