Background
City St George’s, University of London and CPRE The Countryside Charity are recruiting a candidate to deliver an exciting Management Knowledge Transfer Project (mKTP). The mKTP will build management capabilities at CPRE, to stimulate development of commercial capabilities and diversify income streams through the creation of new products and services.
Working at CPRE’s offices near Old St, London, the candidate will have the opportunity to apply their academic and business knowledge to this commercial project.
CPRE delivers positive progress for the countryside through campaigns, research, demonstrations and empowering communities to take action. The mKTP will support CPRE to develop new products and services, diversifying income and uncovering new ways to deliver sustainable charitable outcomes.
Responsibilities
The candidate will investigate and deliver new revenue streams in consultancy and training, and optimise internal operations around communications, marketing and business development.
Specifically, the candidate will develop training products drawing on CPRE research and expertise for local authorities, planning agents, parish councils and community groups; build new consultancy services, selling expertise and CPRE-developed solutions, analysis and products on land use; and exploit data to develop commercial GIS mapping products.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with BSc/BA and MA/MSc or other higher degree in Business, Management, Geography or Environmental Sciences, or closely related subject. Knowledge of applying management theory in commercial, public sector or not for profit environments and of business marketing is essential, as is experience of planning and conducting complex academic or commercial projects.
The candidate will have knowledge of and will adhere to CPRE values.
