EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Reducing leakage is one of our most important company objectives. It is essential for us to have enough water available, to protect the environment, and our customers tell us it is one of their most important expectations. We perform well on leakage with our established approaches, but the challenge gets ever tougher as we drive leakage lower and lower and focus on different parts of our network. Working within our Water Networks Team we have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Leakage Strategy & Performance Manager.
This role is accountable for setting our strategies and building our plan to hit leakage targets, as well as monitoring the effectiveness of that plan. You will work with our asset planning teams and our operational field teams to set the plan of what activity we need to do and how much of it to hit our leakage targets. You will lead your team to regularly review the data and provide insight on our performance to our operational field teams and managers.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We are looking for a candidate with leadership experience and mentoring skills, who has an awareness of the water sector, water networks and the water cycle. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of leakage management, regulatory incentives and targets, as well as our regulatory obligations and the components of our water balance. Financial planning and commercial decision-making skills are essential, along with experience in developing and implementing plans in an operational environment.
The key accountabilities include:
* Support the development and coordination of strategies for leakage reduction.
* Evaluate the different methods of managing leakage available to us including, prevention, detection, location and repair.
* Establish and communicate targets.
* Provide daily, weekly, and monthly insights on leakage performance.
* Use data and insights to support operational decisions.
* Lead and develop a team of Data Technical Experts.
* Decide on new technologies for leakage reduction.
* Manage and assess innovation projects within leakage.
* Develop business cases for leakage monitors.
* Ensure team safety and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* A full UK driving license is essential.
