Support Worker

SEN and SEMH provisions in the Darwen area is looking for dynamic, motivated support worker to work within their alternative provisions. The pupils who attend this provision have previously struggled within a mainstream setting, therefore, may display signs of challenging behaviour.
The roles are working across their Primary and Secondary departments offering general support to the pupils as directed by the class teacher. Within this role you may be required to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis. You will need to display the stamina, resilience and patience to inspire and re-engage the pupils within their learning.
Important information
- Full-time (Monday – Friday; 8:30 – 3:30pm)
- Part-time (full-time 8:30am – 3:30pm)
- Temporary contract
- £12.90- £15.25 p/h.
- Start date: Dec. 2024
- End date: Jul. 2025
Experience supporting pupils within an education capacity is not essential, applicants with a Care, Support, military, coaching background are encouraged to apply. If you also have personal experience, you are also encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
