Food and Nutrition Technician
Up to 28 hours per week, term time only
We are recruiting a Food and Nutrition Technician to join our Design and Technology Department. This vital role supports our students' learning experience in Food and Nutrition. Duties include preparing materials and equipment for lessons, assisting teachers and students during practical sessions, maintaining a safe and organised environment and managing departmental resources.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist teaching staff with lesson preparation and in-class support;
* Supervise and support students during practical activities, ensuring safety standards are met;
* Monitor stock levels, order consumables and manage departmental resources;
* Maintain cleanliness, safety and functionality of equipment and facilities;
* Perform general administrative tasks, including managing reusable resources.
What We Expect:
* GCSEs in English and Maths (essential);
* Strong organizational and teamwork skills;
* Commitment to safeguarding, equal opportunities and confidentiality.
Previous experience in a similar role or working with children is desirable, but not essential.
