Paraplanner
Hours: Full time, 9 month contract
Location - London / Hybrid (3 days in office)
Salary - up to £30,000 pro rata
Working in collaboration with the Advisors and other colleagues, the Paraplanner will carry out paraplanning tasks – i.e. writing Suitability Letters in line with company policy to ensure cases are progressed within agreed timeframes and SLAs. The role will be required to comply with the FCA compliance rules on financial advice services.
Principal Duties: Paraplanner
The Paraplanner’s responsibilities will include:
* Writing Suitability Letters (SLs) within the agreed timeframes (specific SLAs to be shared separately; SLAs are reviewed regularly)
* Working in iBusiness to maintain Advice Sets and update case status
* Tracking cases in iBusiness and provide requested input for regular BST reporting
* Liaising with Advisers to obtain clarity on information required to complete SLs
* Liaising with SJP’s Business Assurance (BA) to ensure Advice Framework is clearly understood and embedded in paraplanning activities
* Maintaining and sharing paraplanning knowledge to effectively progress cases and write SLs
* Identifying issues and opportunities to improve the paraplanning process; to be shared with the Head of Operations
* Meeting Quality of Documentation (QoD) targets and other KPIs (to be shared separately)
* Contributing to all back office processes and quality improvement initiatives
* Escalating issues to Team Leader
Person Specification: Paraplanner
* Up to 2 years’ experience of working within a Wealth Management firm either as a Paraplanner or looking for the next move towards Paraplanning
* Experience of working within a financial services sector
* Demonstrable experience of building rapport and interacting with clients effectively
* A driven individual with a focus on client service
* Adaptable to change management plans
* Highly skilled and organised
* Strong numerical ability and ability to analyse financial data and performance metrics
* Confidence and ability to influence senior stakeholders
* Ability to work autonomously as well as follow directions
* Technically proficient including Office 365
