We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join a medium-sized UK-based consultancy in Manchester. You will be responsible for designing infrastructure projects under the supervision of a Senior Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering and be passionate about learning and developing towards chartership.
The Civil Engineering team is looking for a Civil Engineer with 3 to 4 years of experience and is looking to grow their team. This Engineer will need to work on a mixture of highway road design, bridges, Section 238, flood alleviation, pump stations, sustainable drainage, sewage network design, pavements, earthworks, and cut and fill analysis. You will be involved in pre-planning and master planning projects from conceptual design through to construction phases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Must have UK right to work.
* Hold a degree in civil engineering or another comparable degree.
* Prepare project and client proposals.
* Proficient in AutoCAD, particularly Civil 3D and Microdrainage.
* Experience with highway and drainage section agreements (38, 278, and 104).
* Conduct flood risk assessments and sustainable drainage systems.
* Demonstrate the desire and drive to become Chartered, which will be fully supported by the company.
* Understanding of DMBR.
* Oversee and assist the senior engineer with design tasks.
