Job summary TheInfection Prevention and Control Teamare excited to be recruiting to the team with a band 4 vacancy, suited to a Registered Nurse Associate/Assistant Practitioner The role of the Registered Nurse Associate is to work with the multi-professional team and the Registered Nurse contributing to the delivery of an integrated Infection Prevention and Control service. They will monitor the risks of infection within acute and community settings and work closely with teams to support control measures to reduce the risk in the spread of infection. The Registered Nurse Associate has a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan, providing holistic and person centred care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings. Registered Nurse Associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment; and will act in accordance with the NMC Code: Professional standards of practice and behaviour for nurses, midwives and nursing associates. Main duties of the job MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CLINICAL Under the supervision and working in partnership with the Infection prevention team provide and deliver a high standard of nursing care contributing to the reduction in the risk of infection and supporting patients where infection has been identified. Provide compassionate, safe and effective care and support to patients in a range of care settings. Participates in Clinical audit activities to support quality improvements Prioritise and manage own workload, recognising where elements of care can safely be delegated to other colleagues. Provide and receive sensitive information concerning a patient's medical condition. Supports a range of settings in adhering to key measures in place to reduce the risk of infection Work with the infection prevention team to support the delivery of training Maintain accurate, contemporaneous patient records in line with Trust policy and the NMC Code.
