IT Support Technician
£30,000 to £35,000 Plus benefits
Purpose of the IT Support Technician:
Our friendly busy Sawtry based client has a medium sized team and is looking for a First and Second Line IT Support Technician to support their internal staff. You will be responsible for triaging the helpdesk tickets, assessing, fixing, or escalating them.
Main duties for the IT Support Technician:
1. Ensure the Helpdesk is monitored throughout the day. You would be responsible for the helpdesk and managing workflow.
2. Ensuring staff have all the necessary equipment (Screens, headsets, keyboards, etc).
3. Support staff with Sage X3, Power BI, and general IT queries.
4. Manage user onboarding, including user creation, equipment provision, and IT induction.
5. Asset management: managing an asset list and keeping it regularly updated as new people start and leave.
Skills required for the IT Support Technician:
1. Experience with the following programs: Sage X3, Power BI, MS SQL, Microsoft Office, Windows Server.
2. Experience managing a helpdesk.
3. Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with all levels of staff.
4. Ability to work under pressure and think on your feet.
5. Great sense of humour, excellent timekeeping, and an understanding of urgency.
Hours of work for the IT Support Technician:
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm or 9.00am to 5.30pm
