We are currently seeking a Customer Service Officer to contribute to the delivery of our high performing, customer focussed housing management service. The main purpose of this role is to provide a high level of customer focused advice and information service to all, telephone callers and online customers, providing advice and assistance to customers primarily regarding gas queries or on housing matters, tenancy issues and rent arrears.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Giving advice and information relating to Gas queries, Housing Benefit / Welfare Reform, ensuring that information is relevant and up to date
* Completing relevant forms and process related to the start and end of tenancy paperwork
* Completing a variety of housing related processes (applications for assignments of tenancies, income and expenditure, applications for joint tenancy, succession, notice to quit etc)
* Helping to facilitate a means of transfer for tenants wishing to move
* Being aware of the anti-social behaviour process and domestic violence policy, being able to offer advice and signpost to external agencies if necessary
What we are looking for
Our successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* Experience of working within a customer service role, ideally with some experience of gas services & maintenance or housing management services.
* A commitment to deliver high quality customer services and continuous improvement
* Good numerical and analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret information
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* The ability to effectively manage conflict situations and deal with customers who may be angry and upset
