Your day at Trim Landscaping:
Day-to-day, you will work on a crew of 2-4 people to complete small to medium-sized hardscape projects on residential and commercial properties. This work includes installing pavers, retaining walls, steps, patios, walkways, and other stone or concrete features. You will also be responsible for site preparation, grading, base installation, and ensuring proper drainage. Other tasks may include repair work, finishing details, and seasonal site maintenance. Snow removal work may be available during the winter months where applicable.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Install pavers, retaining walls, steps, patios, walkways, and other hardscape features with precision.
2. Train other crew members in all simple skills required for their position.
3. Prepare job sites, including grading, excavation, base installation, and compaction.
4. Operate and maintain equipment, such as plate compactors, cut-off saws, skid steers, and mini excavators.
5. Perform finishing work, including joint sanding, sealing, and edging.
6. Monitor progress to ensure efficiency and high-quality results.
7. Troubleshoot on-site problems with crew.
8. Manage on-site safety.
9. Responsible for/oversee all preventative maintenance.
10. Run job sites in the absence of the Crew Leader.
11. Report any equipment malfunctions or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
12. Know or be able to find out independently, standard install specs for a given product.
13. Establish/communicate/pick up needs for the next day.
14. Ensure site, truck, and trailer cleanliness and organization.
15. Communicate with Crew Leader and Operations Manager regarding job progress and any challenges.
16. Support snow removal operations in the winter months where applicable.
Job Requirements:
1. High school graduation required.
2. 2-3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
3. Able to read and understand blueprints or design specifications.
4. Must have a valid class 5 driver's license.
