Job summary We have a great opportunity for a dietitian with a passion for enteral feeding to join our Home Enteral Feeding team. You will work alongside a small team of senior dietitians and an experienced dietitian's assistant. We provide a comprehensive service to a diverse group of patients who require oral and enteral nutrition support in their own homes as well as in residential/care homes. We are a highly supportive and innovative team that continuously seeks to adapt and improve the service we provide as well as having a strong focus on the health and well-being of our staff. Our team has over 120 adult patients on its caseload living in West Sussex, managing the nutritional care of patients with conditions such as neurology, MND, learning disabilities and GI disorders including Gastroparesis. A car driver is essential and the post holder will have the flexibility of managing their own time and caseload. We have excellent working relationships with our acute dietitian teams, gastroenterology consultants and the nutrition support team. Working in the HEF team will provide you with extensive opportunities to work with the wider community health care teams, participate in education and training and develop your leadership skills. Main duties of the job We work closely with our counterparts across UHSussex; through joint meetings and good working relationships with support available from senior colleagues. Your own personal development will be encouraged during regular supervision as well as access to training/shadowing opportunities, including spending time with our highly experienced Nutricia Nurse. The post is based at Worthing Hospital however hybrid working will be considered to support your work/life balance. You will be joining our department of 23 dietitians who provide services to Worthing Hospital (approx. 540 beds), outpatients and the surrounding community. The department is well respected and has clinical speciality areas in acute medicine, critical care, diabetes, elderly care, gastroenterology, home enteral tube feeding, oncology, paediatrics, stroke/neurology and surgery.
