To support the development and maintenance of Vaccination in the region. To support the Vaccination Manager in ensuring that local Vaccination programmes in your areas are commissioned to meet the requirements and standards of national service specifications. Working closely with contracting and finance managers. To provide public health advice and expertise internally within NHS England and to other commissioners such as ICBs on the implementation of mandated national Vaccination programmes including Seasonal Vaccination Programmes (Influenza and Covid-19). Also advising on national and other relevant local specifications e.g., maternity. To be an integral part of the team of Vaccination Coordinators and contribute to the implementation of strategies and plans to support continuous improvement of the commissioning and delivery of the national programmes. To be part of negotiations with providers in cases of underperformance and support providers in developing and implementing remedial action plans. To deputise for the Vaccination Manager as required. To support the Vaccination Manager to maintain local Vaccination oversight groups to ensure effective coordination of the services, share best practice and support the collective improvement of the service. To co-ordinate and contribute to Vaccination specific Oversight Groups as agreed and determined by local need. To work collaboratively across the NHS England matrix, including integrating the National Directors portfolio. Operational Engage and liaise with key stakeholders both internal and external. Taking lead on day-to-day liaison with own portfolio of providers. Ensure reporting processes for KPIs and incident management are seamless. To support the delivery of day-to-day activities, projects and programmes. To operate in a highly political and sensitive environment To monitor, interpret and quality assure progress against deliverables and KPIs. Ensuring upward reporting of providers performance is timely and accurate. To provide expert advice to other health care professionals on a range of identified subjects, including clinical advice. Project Management Contribute to performance improvement, taking a lead for identified areas. Provide coordination of and participate in relevant working groups and provide project advice, expertise and support where requested. Provide relevant and timely specialist advice and guidance on own portfolio Management of a risk, issues and incident tracking mechanism and the resolution and escalation processes. People Management Take a part in the coordination of training, development, and recruitment activity across the Team. Play a part in managing the assistant Vaccination coordinators where required. Information Management Devise and provide improvements to current management information, analysing, reporting, and suggesting procedures to enhance decision making processes. Ensure timely and accurate detailed information analysis and reporting to management on agreed areas of work. Research and Development Plan, develop and evaluate methods and processes for gathering, analysing, interpreting and presenting data and information. Co-ordinating Research & Development initiatives, delegating as appropriate. Work with members of the Team to investigate the causes of any variance from plan and proactively contribute to the implementation of solutions. Management of a risk and issues tracking mechanism and the resolution and escalation processes. Contribute to the development of key performance indicators. Delegate aspects of research and development activities, collating information, analysing and reporting findings.
