Your new role
As the Operations Manager, you'll report to the General Manager with a team of 6 production supervisors and 8 maintenance engineers reporting to you. You will support the team by driving performance, coaching, and developing them to meet their career ambitions. Currently, the business operates reactively towards maintenance; you will help transition towards a more PPM-led schedule.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for the Operations Manager vacancy, you must have a proven track record of managing diverse teams within a manufacturing environment. Additionally, strong leadership credentials, an understanding of lean/six sigma processes, and a desire for personal/professional growth are required. Ideally, you will have experience in Recycling, Energy from Waste (EFW), or a similar heavy industry, though this is not crucial.
What you'll get in return
As the Operations Manager, you'll receive an annual salary of up to £55,000, along with a variety of internal and external training courses to support your continued development. As part of the site leadership team, you will also be entitled to the leadership bonus scheme.
