Contracts Manager - Environment Scotland
Location: East of Scotland
What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Manager to join the team at Galliford Try.
You will work on our Scottish Water Frameworks within our Environment Business, who are experienced in successfully delivering schemes of varying sizes, predominately to the Water Industry, across both Treatment Waste and Water schemes.
Ideally, you will be based in or around the Dundee area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.
In your role as Contracts Manager, you will be part of the Senior Management Team to deliver a programme of works across the East of Scotland. The role will also include upward and downward reporting within Galliford Try and to the client providing clear and precise direction at all levels.
You will be accountable for all commercial aspects of the programme of work. Assisted by the Commercial team, you will develop strong contractual and financial controls to deliver rigorous cost control and cash management for each project within your programme of work.
You will be responsible for the management of project delivery outputs including programme, financial position, health and safety and environmental performance and progress for all allocated schemes. It will be your role to manage multiple concurrent projects across the Framework to ensure the successful delivery of the projects against KPI's.
Your role forms an essential link in the supply chain, involving effective liaison and communication between suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, in-house functions, site installations and construction teams to ensure resources are correctly allocated and client requirements are fully achieved. You'll show flexibility, resilience, and the ability to influence and build relationships. Demonstrating strong ethical standards with openness and honesty.
Entrepreneurism is at the heart of our business, you will take an active role in developing new opportunities within the Framework and take the lead in pre-construction tenders to ensure the Project Delivery Team have input into the tender process. As Contracts Manager, you will actively promote continuous improvement and innovation, to lead the way in optimisation and performance, ensuring compliance with Client standards.

About You:
Alongside your industry applicable ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent, to be successful in this role, you will have a wealth of experience in working with NEC suite of contracts within the water and or sewage industries. Attending sites and projects, we'd also like you to have your CSCS card and IOSH or CITD 5 Day Site Safety Management (SMSTS).
In this role, a high level of commercial awareness and technical operational knowledge is key, it will be down to you to make the required decision for the project success.
