Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in the electrical industry and exceptional communication skills. This role is pivotal in providing top-notch technical support to our clients, ensuring they receive accurate and timely assistance with our electrical protection products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for electrical circuit protection products.
* Assist customers with product selection, installation, and operation queries.
* Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to resolve complex technical issues.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and FAQs.
* Conduct product training and demonstrations for clients and internal staff.
* Process technical support requests through various channels (phone, email, and chat) and ensure timely resolution.
* Stay updated on industry trends, product updates, and technological advancements.
Required Qualifications:
* Proven experience in the electrical industry, preferably with a focus on circuit protection.
* Strong understanding of electrical principles and product functionality.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively.
* Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in using technical support tools and software.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Qualifications and Skills:
* BTECH (Level 3) in electrical engineering or equivalent.
* Proven experience in the electrical industry, including circuit protection.
* Practical understanding of associated principles and product functionality.
* Working knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition.
* Knowledge of UK low voltage electrical market & customer segments.
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF Editor or equivalent.
* Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team, including networking skills.
* Problem-solving can-do attitude with attention to detail.
