We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in Rheumatology on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Rheumatology department.

Our 15,000 staff ensure that every year we see and treat 1,500,000 people in our 2,000 beds or outpatient settings, comprising 100,000 day cases, 125,000 in-patients, 200,000 A&E visits, and 1,050,000 out-patient appointments. The successful appointee will be joining a rheumatology department that will expect the appointee to help fulfill their objectives that are: delivering a high quality and effective Rheumatology service at the Hospital which meets national access and quality standards, and maintaining the standing of the Rheumatology Department as a specialist centre. In addition, the appointee will be expected to fulfill certain duties such as:
1. Delivering Out-patient clinics, specifically including ultrasound, early arthritis, and general rheumatology.
2. Contributing to research, teaching, and new developments within the Rheumatology department.
3. Linking with Consultant colleagues in other relevant site specialist teams within the CSU.
4. Contributing to Clinical Governance and audit programmes.
5. Participating in the undergraduate teaching programme for the School of Medicine.
