About the role
Main duties will include but are not limited to:
1. The preparation of local fresh produce and cooking of various cuisines to a very high standard.
2. Running a kitchen section and taking responsibility for all dishes in your section ensuring consistent presentation every time.
3. Ensuring all meals are delivered on time.
4. Manage food standards and quality across all stages of food preparation and production ensuring high standards are consistently met.
5. Working alongside the Head Chef and team to create and develop daily and weekly specials.
6. Assist in the training and development of junior chefs.
7. Ensuring minimum wastage and implementing new ideas for reducing wastage.
8. Working within and maintaining all associated Health, Safety, and Hygiene guidelines/procedures while working.
9. Comply with company food safety policies and legislation.
10. Maintain high levels of cleanliness at all times and making sure your personal appearance and uniform is in line with the required Resort standards at all times.
Applicants must:
1. Be passionate about food and have a willingness to work hard in a dynamic evolving kitchen.
2. Have at least 1 year of experience working as a Chef de Partie, working within a busy kitchen environment.
3. Have a keen eye for detail and great organisational skills.
4. Enjoy working as part of a team, be able to multi-task, and work well under pressure.
5. Hold basic Food Hygiene Qualification or above.
6. Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns and be available to work days/evenings and weekends.
7. Must have a good, pleasant manner and be well presented.
8. Have a proven track record and shown loyalty throughout their career.
