Facilities Co-ordinator - York
Summary
We're looking for a Facilities Co-ordinator with the skills to keep Treasurers House, Beningbrough Hall and Goddards in tiptop condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit and love our places.
What it's like to work here
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll be working in a team of 5, primarily at Treasurers House. Treasurers House is a unique building, a Grade 1 listed house tucked behind York Minster with a popular tranquil garden attached. It has long been one of the most prestigious properties in York. Completely rebuilt in a fashionable style in the late 16th century, it even hosted a visit by James I in 1617.
You'll also be helping to look after the other two properties in our portfolio, Beningbrough Hall, a baroque mansion with extensive grounds and award-winning gardens, and Goddards, a 1920’s Arts & Crafts house surrounded by a beautiful 5-acre garden.
What you'll be doing
As the Facilities Co-ordinator, you’ll ensure that the York portfolio operates as it should by assisting in an efficient, effective, and flexible facilities service. You’ll help the property team meet their goals by keeping standards high. You’ll assist with maintenance and repairs (reactive, as well as planned and preventative).
You'll be responsible for delivering an efficient and effective facilities management service at a more technically complex portfolio within the National Trust. Working collaboratively with the wider team and appointed contractors, you'll help ensure the portfolio is maintained to the highest possible standard and compliant with appropriate procedures, legislation, and conservation guidelines.
Your responsibilities will include the co-ordination of planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance and the upkeep of all relevant administration attached to these tasks. You'll support the Facilities Manager in promoting Health & Safety standards alongside general compliance awareness across the portfolio.
You’ll be required to fulfil a quota of duty management shifts each month alongside your colleagues at Treasurers House. During these shifts, you'll be responsible for the safety of the volunteers, visitors, staff, and property and ensure the smooth running of the visitor operation.
You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all of the knowledge, skills, and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what’s possible in this role.
