As Man in Attendance, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of daily scaffold activities at our site in Wallyford, East Lothian. You will assist with various tasks and inspections, ensuring that erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures are carried out to the highest standards of safety and efficiency, in line with industry standards and company guidelines.
Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures.
Conduct thorough inspections of scaffolding materials and equipment, identifying and reporting any defects or issues.
Coordinate and supervise the work of Part 1 Scaffolders and labourers on-site, providing guidance and training as needed.
Collaborate closely with Assistant/Site managers, other construction workers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
Participate in site meetings and provide input on scaffolding-related matters.
Carry out statuary seven day inspections in the absence of Scaffold Manager.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced Scaffolder from within the construction and housebuilding industry with a strong understanding of scaffolding techniques and safety practices.
Significant experience in scaffolding with relevant and valid certificates (CISRS Blue scaffold card – essential)
Proficiency in reading and interpreting scaffolding design plans and blueprints.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour, including lifting and carrying heavy materials in all weather conditions.
Excellent knowledge of construction safe working practices and Health & Safety requirements in the workplace and the ability to adhere to these.
CSCS card – essential.
Manual Handling certificate – desirable.
Fire awareness training – desirable.
Driving license is desirable.
