Objectives, Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting into the Head of Technical and as the Manager of the Compliance team, the key purpose of this role is to ensure the compliance of Synergy products to both legal and customer expectations, and the provision of timely and accurate data to customers/3rd party organisations to support this.
This will be achieved by:
Ensuring compliance (of products, packaging, labels and supporting documentation) across all Synergy UK sites with current and emerging food, labelling and transport legislation in the UK, EU and other geographies in which Synergy sells products.
Determining and/or validating existing regulatory information including legal ingredient declarations, allergen information, nutritional, analytical tolerances, suitability based on product composition in our online formulation repositories.
Managing the team to ensure specifications, safety data sheets and product labels are issued accurately and in a timely manner.
Accurately and timely provision of customer-specified documents, taking into account company IP protection guidelines.
Ensuring compliance with the requirements of third party certifying bodies. Certifying audits (Kosher, Halal, Fair Trade and Soil Association etc.) are passed with no major non-conformities
