Job Description:
Are you a compassionate and experienced social worker with a commitment to supporting children in care?
In this role, you will manage a caseload of looked-after children, working to ensure that their needs are met and that they achieve the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:
1. Managing a caseload of looked-after children, ensuring that their care plans are effectively implemented and regularly reviewed.
2. Developing and implementing care plans that promote stability, well-being, and positive outcomes for the children.
3. Building and maintaining strong, trusting relationships with children, carers, and families.
4. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and other professionals to coordinate services and resources.
5. Attending and contributing to meetings, such as child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
6. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and looked-after children.
Qualifications:
7. Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
8. Proven experience in a social work role, particularly working with looked-after children or within a children in care service..
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, carers, and professionals.
10. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social care and child protection.
