It has established itself as the leading global provider of its highly specialised products and services, and of accredited certification and training courses for technicians. Customers include an increasingly large number of the world’s biggest commercial enterprises, governments and public sector organisations that are responsible for the delivery and maintenance of reliable and dependable telecoms services and critical communications infrastructure. Our client employs numerous engineers and technical experts in the UK, to work on consultation and implementation projects all over the world. All revenue streams are profitable and expanding fast, backed by systematic innovation and new product development allied to strong relationship-led sales and an actively managed supply chain. This business is still owned and led by its founders, who wish to make this key appointment to secure the long-term future of the company as it grows into a significantly larger entity.
Role
* Develop, set and implement strategy

* Instruct advisers when appropriate to ensure the best outcomes for the business
Candidate
* Proven success as an MD, or business leader, with full P&L responsibilities
* Led a Start-up / Scale-up through rapid growth
* Experience of running a SME, or a specialist unit within a large corporate
* Success in sales leadership roles
* Familiar with selling to corporate, governmental, defence, security and public sector customers
* Knowledge of high-technology, IP-led, innovative products and services ideally in cyber / related
* First-class intellect, with relevant academic and professional qualifications
* Fully familiar with all business functions including Operations, Sales, Finance, HR and IT
* Creative thinker
* Commercially astute, with problem-solving instincts
* Able to persuade, influence, challenge and negotiate
* Deal orientation, with demonstrable track record of closing
* Unimpeachable integrity
* SC or DV cleared, or prepared to undergo and confident of obtaining security clearance
* Able to travel internationally from time to time
