Job Overview:
As the Sales & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for creating and implementing innovative strategies to maximize revenue and elevate the hotel's brand presence. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a strong background in hospitality sales and marketing to establish Ellen Kensington as the preferred choice for luxury accommodation, dining, and events. You will oversee all sales efforts, marketing initiatives, and revenue-driving activities while managing key client relationships and leading promotional campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation:
1. Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to maximize revenue streams across Rooms, Events, and Food & Beverage.
2. Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, event planners, and other stakeholders to secure new and repeat business.
3. Identify and target high-value business segments, including Corporate, Meetings, Incentives, Events, and Leisure markets.
4. Create and implement promotions and packages to boost occupancy during off-peak periods.
Marketing & Brand Development:
1. Develop and manage the annual marketing plan, ensuring alignment with the hotel's business objectives.
2. Oversee all marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, email marketing, and PR efforts, to enhance the hotel's visibility and drive engagement.
3. Collaborate with the Graphic Designer to create visually compelling materials that align with the hotel's luxury brand identity.
4. Maintain the hotel's website and ensure it is up-to-date with accurate information, promotions, and imagery.
Client Relationship Management:
1. Cultivate relationships with existing clients and partners to drive repeat business and referrals.
2. Host site visits and FAM (Familiarization) trips for prospective clients to showcase the hotel's offerings.
3. Handle key account negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
Event Sales & Coordination:
1. Promote the hotel's event space for private functions, working closely with clients to understand their needs.
2. Liaise with internal departments, such as F&B and Operations, to ensure seamless execution of events.
Market Research & Analysis:
1. Conduct regular competitor analysis and market research to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
2. Provide insights into market trends, guest preferences, and competitor activities to refine sales and marketing strategies.
Reporting & Budget Management:
1. Prepare regular sales and marketing reports for senior management, tracking performance metrics and ROI.
2. Manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
Qualifications & Skills:Experience:
1. Minimum of 2 years in a Sales or Marketing management role within the luxury hospitality sector.
2. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and successfully managing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
Education:
1. Degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Skills and Competencies:
1. Strong networking and relationship-building skills with a client-focused mindset.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling presentations and proposals.
3. Proficiency in sales and marketing software, CRM systems, and Property Management Systems (PMS), such as Opera or similar.
4. Creative thinker with the ability to identify innovative marketing opportunities.
5. Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
