About the Role
As our Clinical Lead, you'll take full responsibility for the effective operation and delivery of the nursing team and work in conjunction with the Home Manager and Deputy Manager to recruit and train the nursing staff. You'll ensure nurses adhere to laws, and that infection control plans are implemented and recorded.
Your duties will include:
* Supervising nursing staff and developing care plans for residents.
* Completing compliance procedures.
* Shared responsibility with Home Manager and Deputy for the selection, recruitment, induction and training and regular appraisal of all staff on your unit.
* Liaison with the Home Manager and Deputy as required to ensure the effective operation of the Unit.
* Monitoring CQC standards and ensuring effective delivery of quality care within the home.
* Liaising effectively with CQC inspectors.
* Ensuring that all nursing staff receive regular supervision and necessary training.
* Ensuring an effective nursing rota is always in place.
* Developing and keeping up to date care plans that deliver a satisfactory quality of life for all Residents.
* Maintaining the highest nursing standards in line with best practice, corporate policy and regulatory guidance.
