The ideal Electro Mechanical Technician will possess a strong understanding and expertise in AC, DC, Servo and Stepper motors, encoders and PLC’s. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of equipment together with building strong, lasting relationships with clients.
Key responsibilities Electro Mechanical Field Technician:
• Install, maintain and repair industrial embroidery machines at client sites across the UK
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and software related issues
• Troubleshoot problems with motors (AC, DC, Servo, Steppers) encoders and controllers. Work on the integration of these systems with CPU’s and PLC’s
• Develop strong relationships with clients, offering excellent customer service
• Provide clear communication and technical advice to customers regarding machine operation maintenance and troubleshooting
• Travel extensively across the UK, ensuring machines are operating at peak performance (the role will involve some overnight stays)
• Conduct routine maintenance to ensure minimal downtime. Regularly check and calibrate machines to ensure optimal performance
• Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs and installations
Personal specification Electro Mechanical Technician:
• Proven experience of electro mechanical systems, including operation and troubleshooting of AC/DC motors, Serve and Stepper motors, encoders and related components
• Hands on experience with PLCs and CPUs in industrial setting
• Excellent ability to diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical faults
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK, with some overnight stays
• Excellent communication skills and a strong personality for building rapport and fostering positive relationships with clients
• Familiarity with industrial embroidery machines or similar equipment would be a bonus but not mandatory
• Clean driving licence
