What you need to succeed:
1. A relevant degree and working towards being a Chartered Engineer and/or Transport Planner
2. Membership of a relevant professional institution (CIHT, CILT, IHE, TPS, ICE)
3. Experience in one or more of these areas: spatial and urban design; transport planning/design; business case/economics; transport data analysis/modelling (all levels); GIS/Accessibility; Active Travel; Bus Infrastructure; development planning; travel planning/behavioural change
4. Proficient in using and analysing data and producing high-quality reports
5. Demonstrable experience of leading and delivering a variety of transport planning projects
6. Experience in applying current UK technical standards/publications, guidance, best practice, and legislation requirements
7. Experience of Transport Modelling
8. Experience in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint essential, other software tools desirable (programming, databases, GIS, AutoCAD)
