Chichester Diocesan Association for Family Support Work is looking to appoint a Senior Family Support Practitioner working in Hastings, East Sussex. This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join one of the oldest Children’s Charities in Sussex as a Senior Family Support Practitioner. Working with a wide range of families and children referrals are received from a broad spectrum of schools, voluntary and statutory agencies. Key responsibilities include; supervising a small team of family support practitioners, lead peer supervision sessions, monitor FSPs case load, identifying and managing own caseload, developing bespoke support services for each family, promotion and co-ordination of our service in the area, developing support groups, drop ins and term and non –term time activity sessions, providing advice, guidance, support and counselling to families and individuals who are struggling with life. The successful candidate will be CQSW, Dip SW qualified and registered with the relevant social care council or with an equivalent professional qualification and registration. You will also have experience of working with children and families and providing support within a multi-agency setting. You must also have good knowledge of the Children's Act and accompanying guidance and all secondary legislation with a sound understanding of the complex issues facing children and their families today.
