Iris Care Group delivers full pathways of care for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues and personality disorder along with neurodegenerative conditions.
Our supported living and residential nursing services allow people to live independent and meaningful lives in the community, whilst our specialist hospitals provide assessment, care, and treatment.
We are looking for a dynamic Capital Project Manager to join our Commercial team, reporting to the Head of Capital Projects. The role will play a key part in our ambitious plans to deliver a range of new developments and refurbishment projects as part of our growth plan.
Responsibilities
* Maintain an understanding of all projects, including risks, benefits, and interdependencies.
* Support the definition/scope of new Capital projects.
* Manage assigned projects across different geographical areas.
* Support the identification and review of new properties in identified areas of demand to develop new and existing services.
* Ensure vacant sites are secure and monitored pre-development.
* Support the commercial and operational teams to define their needs, translating this into building specifications.
* Translate construction specifications for operational and clinical staff to understand proposals.
* Manage specialist consultant input and contractors where required, keeping costs within agreed budget.
* Manage tender, evaluation, and contractor appointment process.
* Support and coordinate planning applications and processes including relevant consultant input and surveys as required.
* Ensure landlord and Housing Association requirements are met through building design.
* Manage costs throughout project lifecycle to ensure projects are delivered to budget.
* Provide project assurance, escalating risks and issues as they occur.
* Report on project progress at defined intervals.
* Develop contingency plans where risks arise.
* Liaise as required with utilities providers when necessary.
* Liaison with IT/Systems to ensure infrastructure is implemented.
* Define and seek approval for building and fit-out costs.
* Coordinate the fit-out process, ensure fit-out specification is appropriate to services developed, manage tender process for all FFE items.
* Support the operations team as required with the registration of new services with CQC/HIW/CIW.
* Ensure effective handover of completed projects to Estates and Operational teams.
You will have previous experience in a similar or related role. You will be adept at managing multiple projects methodically and will enjoy working under your own initiative. Health and safety experience in building projects is essential as is the requirement to travel (within the UK).
