An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Intermediate care Bedded unit therapy team. As Physiotherapy team lead, you will work alongside the Occupational Therapy Team lead in supporting the MDT to provide assessment and interventions to people requiring additional rehabilitation on discharge from hospital.
You will be joining and established team of therapists that work with in the MDT with nurses, care support workers, Drs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists and Activity Co-ordinators.
You should have significant post registration experience within the NHS including working in a community and / or rehabilitation setting, covering a wide variety of clinical areas. You will be a excellent team player with proven leadership skills. You will possess excellent communication skills and must be able to work on your own initiative to organise and prioritise your own caseload and balance this with the demands of managing a team within this diverse and varied role.
The Service operates over 7 days (weekends occuring 1:4)
You will be leading a team of therapists, providing professional support to the physiotherapists and supporting the management of all staff within the Therapy team along side the OT team lead.
You will be working closely with the nurse managers in the day to day running of the unit to ensure effective patient interventions and timely patient flow.
You will provide leadership to the unit supporting with service development and representing the unit within the wider trust.
