Required from September 2024
The Governors of Holy Trinity Academy are looking to appoint a full-time Science Technician to support the growth of the School. A good level of education and relevant qualification is required, and experience in an education setting is desirable although not essential as training will be given.
We are seeking someone organised and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills and good attention to detail. Working in a busy school environment, you will support teaching and learning in the Science department, servicing lessons, preparing apparatus and chemicals under the direction of the Senior Technician and within strict health and safety guidelines.
The School has a clear vision on its journey to place Holy Trinity as a beacon of educational excellence and have the Gospel values at the heart of the community it serves. Every detail of Holy Trinity’s distinctive character has been directed towards promoting the culture and vision of a Christ-centred community focused on the experience of ‘life in all its fullness’ for each individual.
The Ofsted inspection in May 2023 deemed Holy Trinity as a ‘GOOD’ school. It stated “There is a culture of care and respect at Holy Trinity Academy where everyone is valued for who they are. Pupils feel safe and many praise the pastoral care they receive. Pupils are clear about the high expectations staff have of their behaviour.”
We aim to inspire and equip pupils to achieve their potential by enhancing their confidence and achievement in all subjects.
Holy Trinity Academy is committed to the safeguarding and protection of children and young people. The appointment will be subject to enhanced DBS (CRB) clearance for the successful applicant and is therefore exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
The post holder will be involved in Regulated Activity.
We are committed to equality and diversity.
This post is a designated customer-facing role under the fluency duty and requires the applicant to be fluent in English.
Closing date for applications is Wednesday 4 th September 2024 at 12 noon.
Please complete all application forms (CV’s will not be accepted) and return to john.griffiths2@holytrinity.academy
