We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and dynamic registered nurse to join our enthusiastic and supportive Neuro Oncology team, who are committed, driven, and passionate about ensuring outstanding patient care that is our highest priority for our complex patients.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide specialist nursing guidance working as a Generic Neuro-Oncology CNS by providing support for patients with high-grade Brain Tumours predominantly but will also support Low-grade Brain tumours (primary) at all stages of care and treatment, including follow-up. The post holder will utilize skills of clinical expertise, education, and management to ensure a seamless service for patients, carers, and staff. S/he will provide advice, support, and information at diagnosis and throughout curative, palliative, and terminal phases.
S/he will work closely with the multidisciplinary team in hospital and the community to ensure a coordinated quality service actively involved in education, audit, and research.

Knowledge and Experience
* Appropriate proven leadership and management experience
* Proven commitment and experience, evidenced in teaching
* Experience as preceptor/mentor
* Experience of undertaking research or audit projects
* Evidence of commitment to research-based practice or evidence of project work undertaken
Qualifications and Training
* Current NMC Registration
* 1st Degree in nursing or health-related subject, willing to undertake/working towards
* Qualification in Teaching and Assessing
* Willingness to work towards Masters level academic study
