Salaried General Practitioner (ARRS funded) Five Towns
Following the release of ARRS funding for GPs, we are looking to expand our team by seeking to employ a newly qualified General Practitioner.
We are seeking to recruit a positive, caring and self-motivated individual to take on the role and work across our three Practice groups. Our practices have a strong ethos of support, mentoring and supervision, as experienced training practices.
We have a significant workforce in place which brings wonderful opportunities for in-house multi-disciplinary team working. We have a complete Pharmacy Service, General Practice Assistants, a dedicated Care Home Visiting Team, a Long-Term Conditions Housebound Visiting Team, Physician Associates, Care Co-ordinators, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, Social Prescribers and self-refer Physiotherapy.
Main duties of the job
* Provide face to face and telephone consultations for routine and urgent care.
* Manage patient care within the Practices, including investigating and reviewing results, developing care plans and making the necessary referrals.
* Issue and sign repeat prescriptions, adhering to national and local guidelines.
* Administer and manage patient queries, test results, referral letters and any other duties as required in a timely manner.
* Make clear consultation notes and records using SystmOne.
* Ensure safe, evidence-based and cost-effective care in line with Practice disease management protocols and NICE guidelines.
* Independently prescribe medications within your scope of practice.
* Review and manage patient medications following the appropriate policies and local clinical guidelines.
* Work with our clinical and support teams in delivering holistic and patient-centred care.
* Actively participate in MDT and care conference meetings as required.
* Participate in on-call duties if required.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
* Full registration with GMC.
* Certification of Completion of Training (JCPTGP/PMETB).
* Inclusion on Performers List.
* MRCGP.
* Not be subject to any interim suspension orders from the GMC under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983.
* Evidence of a commitment to ongoing personal & professional development.
* Clinical systems knowledge: Experience with SystmOne is preferred.
Important Eligibility Criteria
* Must not have been substantively employed as a GP in general practice previously; or
* Is not employed in a temporary capacity as a locum; and/or
* Upon commencement of employment is less than 2 years beyond their certificate of completion of training being issued by the GMC.
* Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make confident decisions.
* Professional conduct: Ability to work within professional codes of conduct, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
* Organisational skills: Ability to manage time, workload, and patient-related administration efficiently.
* Team player: Willingness to work across multiple practices and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience
* Experience of working in primary care in an area with significant health problems.
* Experience of providing primary care in and out of hours.
* Development of areas of clinical expertise.
* Experience of audit and improving care for patients.

Depending on experience, pay will be in line with the ARRS direct enhanced services.
