We are currently seeking a Damp & Mould Surveyor to join a well-established organisation on a temporary basis. As part of their Asset Management team, you will be responsible for a specific work stream, providing professional housing surveying services for the repair, maintenance, improvement, and re-servicing of council-owned, managed, and leased stock.
To be successful in this role, you should have considerable experience in building inspection work, identifying faults, preparing reports/specifications, and supervising building works. Experience in dealing with disrepair claims and attending court is also required. Moreover, your ability to successfully run contracts will be essential.
Good Knowledge of Building Regulations
Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and Health & Safety legislation
Good knowledge of disrepair legislation
Knowledge of HHSRS legislation
Understanding of Landlord and Tenant legislation Good knowledge of leasehold issues within social housingFormal training in one of the following areas is essential:
a) building technology/construction
b) repairs
c) estimating
d) contractual matters
