SEMH Behavioural Intervention Assistant

Veritas Education is looking for a Behavioural Intervention Assistant to work in a special school in Doncaster, providing focused support to students with SEMH. If you're experienced in behaviour management and have a passion for working with young people, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
1. Supporting students with SEMH needs by implementing behaviour management plans and strategies.
2. Working closely with teaching staff to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
3. Providing 1:1 support and tailored interventions to help students improve their emotional regulation and social skills.
4. Assisting with de-escalating challenging behaviours and creating a calm, structured environment.
5. Encouraging positive social interaction and helping students develop coping strategies.
Ideal Candidate
1. Experience working with students with SEMH or behavioural difficulties is highly desirable.
2. Knowledge of behaviour management strategies (e.g., Team Teach) is a plus.
3. Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
4. Strong communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with students.
