Elite Yacht Covers is a well-established cover maker in Europe and beyond, best known for our work with blue water cruisers and superyachts. We are seeking an outstanding individual to join our team. This individual will be based on the South Coast, UK.
The primary objective of this role is to further enhance our substantial market share whilst also supporting our existing operations. Our business philosophy is to provide the most exceptional and unique solutions to our customers, that fully meets their requirements, itinerary and their expectations of having the best covers and awnings.
Background
Elite Yacht Covers (EYC) was formed in 2019 and is now in its 6 year as a business. We are regarded as being at the forefront of producing high quality covers. Our reputation for quality, cutting edge designs has grown exponentially with Elite Architectural Awnings and more recently Elite Superyacht Covers being born under the Elite umbrella.
We are a very ambitious company that continues to push the boundaries of what is ‘normal’ for a cover making company. We have decided to improve the services we offer to boat owners on the South Coast. Our manufacturing base will remain on the East Coast, but we are seeking to employ someone who will be able to capture our customer’s requirements including advising on the best option depending on their itinerary/usage; digitising, templating and fitting and be able to promote the work of the company across the boatyards and marinas on the South Coast.
Following an intensive period of induction at our Headquarters and through trips to meet with customers both at home and abroad, you will be expected to establish a base for the company’s work on the South Coast with office space provided by us.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a particular type of individual that can accommodate a complex role, which includes the following responsibilities.
* Representing EYC primarily on the South Coast and abroad.
* Maintaining regular contact with boatyards, brokerages and other cover suppliers.
* Securing new customers and capturing their requirements.
* Template, digitise and fit covers both on the South Coast and abroad.
* Contribute to increasing the awareness about the company on the South Coast through the use of the website, social media and other marketing.
Job Specification.
We are looking to hire a highly ambitious individual who can both undertake technical work and be responsible for the further development of the business on the South Coast. In this respect they will mirror the work of the current two Executive Directors albeit without being responsible for the whole company.
Skills
· Great communication skills both externally and internally
· Ability to develop effective business relationships
· Able to systematically organise their work.
· Practically minded with a view to template, digitise and fit covers
· Able to capture customer’s requirement and create detailed specifications
Experience
· A good yachting background, preferably Superyacht.
· Of successfully selling products and services
· Of developing and delivering marketing plans
· Of using social media as a marketing tool

Remuneration and other employment details.
The salary range for this post will be between £40k and £45k depending on the skills and experience the successful candidate brings to this post.
The post is subject to a six-month probationary period. The holiday entitlement is 20 days plus all bank holidays. This will increase by one day every year.
Full training will be given by our experienced team, starting with an induction and intensive period at our headquarters in Manningtree, Essex. During this period the company will provide accommodation.
We require this individual to be able to travel, mainly Europe, but further afield such as America. A clean travel record is essential.
The postholder will also be provided with a phone, van, a laptop and EYC branded clothing.
