About Us
At Vet Times, we use the power of information and connection to create stronger, happier veterinary communities. We are on the side of the veterinary profession and are the only truly independent veterinary platform in the UK.
The veterinary and media industries are evolving fast, and we're at the forefront of that change. We are now looking for a Head of Marketing to join us and drive the marketing strategy for our exciting global expansion. We've recently launched a cutting-edge, multi-media platform that's poised to transform how animal health professionals connect and access vital information. With ambitious growth plans focused on data and subscriptions, this is a unique opportunity to shape the future of veterinary communities worldwide.
The Role
We're looking for a passionate Head of Marketing to lead our global marketing efforts, develop and execute strategies focused on bringing in new customers, keeping them engaged, and driving revenue growth. If you have a data-driven and analytical mindset with a history in B2B marketing leadership, ideally within media or data subscription, then we’d love to hear from you. However, we know this sector comes with a variety of transferrable skills and you will always be supported with developing these. There is also the option to job-share if your strengths lie in a specific area within the role.
We need a strategic thinker with a strong background in B2B media and a hands-on attitude. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative small team, then this may be the perfect fit for you.
We will look to you to play a vital role in mentoring and developing the marketing skills of our wider team. You will be supported by Melisa, our marketing and customer success manager; Nikki, our CRM and database manager; Ruth, our customer success executive; and Lisa, our marketing executive.
Our client base includes dedicated veterinary practices as well as animal health pharmaceutical and nutrition companies. We provide them with trusted, high-quality advice and are looking for someone who understands their needs and can create engaging marketing campaigns that connect with the profession.
If you love animals, even better! We're a dog-friendly office, and they are always welcome. We enjoy lunchtime dog walks around the nearby park, a great way to get some air, grab lunch, and catch up.
Our working hours are 9 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Thursday, with a 5 pm finish on a Friday. We are looking for someone to join us on a full-time basis, but we are more than happy to discuss part-time and flexible working options for the right person. Ideally, you would join us in our Peterborough office three days a week. However, we can be really accommodating if you live further away or if you need flexibility for commitments outside of work.
Your Responsibilities
As Head of Marketing, you’ll have the autonomy to lead data-driven campaigns across our digital and print platforms to drive growth in the UK and globally. You'll manage and oversee the budget, analyse market trends, and ensure our activities align with the Vet Times brand.
Your focus will be on attracting and retaining customers through multi-media campaigns, optimising PPC, SEO, and social media strategies. You'll drive audience growth, develop engaging content, and build strong online communities.
You'll also oversee customer success, build key relationships, and foster a customer-focused culture. In collaboration with the senior management team led by our CEO, Ruth, you'll identify new product opportunities, implement launch strategies, establish KPIs, analyse data to optimise campaigns, and provide insightful reports.
This is an exciting time for Vet Times, and this role offers incredible opportunities for growth, both personally and professionally. You'll have the chance to shape your role, contribute ideas, and make a real impact, all with the full support of our team.
