Kirklands Surgery is looking for a GP Reception Manager to join our friendly practice.
The position is for 24 hours a week, days and times to be confirmed but will include morning and afternoon shifts.
Main Duties of the Job
An ideal candidate will be a reliable, enthusiastic individual with fantastic customer service skills, a good understanding of the NHS, and the ability to provide reception management skills in a fast-paced working environment. They must have:
* A great patient experience and good skills to provide solid support to our clinical and nursing teams.
* Excellent organizational skills, and be a good verbal and written communicator.
* Experience of working in a GP surgery is essential.

We are a forward-thinking and progressive practice, constantly working to improve standards, the patient journey, and clinical outcomes.
Our clinical workforce consists of 3 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, 1 Paramedic Practitioner, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 Health Care Assistants, and 12 receptionists/admin.
Job Responsibilities
Although it will be a busy role, you will be fully supported within the management team. The practice list size is currently around 9700 patients. You will be expected to oversee daily operations of reception as well as motivating and supporting staff to deliver high-quality services. You will need to demonstrate leadership and management skills to ensure the practice meets its objectives within an efficient and effective working environment.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Managing staff rotas.
* Managing clinical room rotas.
* Managing reception staff HR issues.
* Appointment management.
Candidates must be aware that it is essential to have good knowledge of SystmOne used within the practice and have the skills required to monitor and manage processes and workflow.
Candidates must have strong organizational, prioritization, and leadership skills, and be able to remain focused in pressured situations. You must show that you are an approachable person to work with and have the ability to manage teams, in particular, designating work fairly.
