Band 4 - Corporate Affairs Administrator - Bath
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly-organised and proactive individual to join us as our Corporate Affairs Administrator at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to become part of a team that is passionate about delivering a high-quality service. This role will give you the opportunity to work alongside the Trust Board and support governance processes including Board and Committee administration, freedom of information, and policy management.

Main duties of the job
As Corporate Affairs Administrator, you will provide efficient and effective support to the Corporate Affairs Team and will lead on allocated processes and projects.
The tasks you will be required to support are varied and will change depending on the priorities of the Corporate Affairs Team throughout the year. However, much of your portfolio will be on a cyclical/regular basis linked to due dates for Freedom of Information requests and the Board and Committee meeting schedule. You will have the ability to manage your workload independently within the parameters of deadlines set.

Person Specification
Education and Qualification
* RSA 3 Word Processing (or equivalent level of expertise)
* NVQ3/QCF in administration or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
* IT qualification e.g. ECDL or similar
* Formal training in minute-taking
Experience and Knowledge
* Excellent level of written and spoken English, with demonstrable comprehension skills
* Excellent arithmetical skills, showing a good understanding of number and data management
* Experience in providing proficient administrative procedures including:
o Management of electronic diaries arranging meetings and venues
o Collation of information, producing agendas and distribution of papers for meetings
o Receive incoming communications via mail/emails and telephone and direct appropriately
o High levels of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
* Previous experience of working in a large corporate organisation
* Understanding of governance responsibilities and structures within a large organisation
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to minute meetings
* Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team supporting the development of colleagues
* Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of staff including external agencies
* Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and approach situations with tact and diplomacy
