Responsibilities
* Company Policies: Follow the quality, health, safety, and all policies of the company
* Conceptual and pre-production CAD designs for LV, HV harnesses and modules
* Generate and design brackets and fixing schemes to support EE modules and harnesses
* CAD harness supplier liaison for both LV and HV harnesses
* Lead in the correct module placement into vehicle ensuring IP, vibration and technical specifications are endeared to
* Cross functional liaison with other engineering functions (chassis, Body, interior etc.)
* Be the EE CAD Lead in technical reviews of product designs, requirements, and specifications with both internal and supplier engineering teams
* Participate in resolving any design/manufacturing issues when identified
* Package investigations and development of solutions to EDS related package issues
* Manage project level EDS CAD engineering change control activity
* 2D manufacturing drawings from 3D models and designs
* Electrical BOM management
* Support idea generation and problem resolution through day-to-day working and structured Design Reviews
* Work closely with Manufacturing to agree feasible manufacturing solutions and to control the engineering change process
* Develop test and validation procedures and specifications
* Manage documentation as part of change management process for existing systems
* Complete design verification and function sign off in line with project deadlines
Essential Skills
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with proven experience
* Extensive experience in the design and package EDS Wiring Harnesses and components using Catia V5
* 3+ years professional experience in electrical systems development within an Automotive setting or with an OEM or tier 1 supplier
* Provide 3D Catia design support to the electrical and wider engineering teams
* Holistic understanding of all vehicle systems
* Discipline to follow technical and administrational procedures
* Understanding importance of managing engineering change requests and claim management
* Strong communication skills
* Excels in organisational skills and time management
* Ability to use Microsoft Packages
* A drive to learn and improve at every opportunity with willingness to support others
* Positive attitude towards mastering challenges and changes
* Must have IDLR/Full Rights to Work in UK - Sponsorship or Work Permits will not be accepted/ provided.
Desirable
* Experience in electrical design tools such as Arcadia or VeSys
* EMC design good practice
* Electrical component development experience
* Working knowledge of GPDS, DVP, FMEA and APQP
* Experience in equipotential bonding and material conductivity
