We are delighted to offer this opportunity to join the Manufacturing team at Special Vehicle Operations. You will be working as part of a manufacturing team within the Paint Rectification process, ensuring the highest quality vehicles are delivered to our customers.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Safety
1. Ensures compliance to Health & Safety policy for area of responsibility & prioritises safety within the workgroup.
2. Works as part of a workgroup to identify and eliminate safety hazards, raising potential hazards, near misses, dangerous occurrences, and accidents.
Quality
1. Protects internal and external customers by containing issues, fixing them & preventing recurrence, engaging the broader team where appropriate.
2. Rectifying paintless repairs and preventing cars from being diverted into on wheels repair.
3. Working under limited supervision for non-routine situations.
Policy and Procedure
1. Understands Policies and Procedures (what & why) and is able to apply them fairly and effectively.
2. Has exceptional attendance and promotes the importance of attending work on time.
Organised Workplace
1. Continuously improves workplace organisation in line with the 5S standard.
WHAT YOU NEED
1. NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a paint-related subject.
2. Experience working with multiple paint finishes (Gloss, Satin, and Matte).
3. Ability to carry out paintless dent repairs.
4. Flexibility: prepared to work anywhere on plant i.e. other shifts and other technology areas.
5. Experience in paintless dent removal/repair.
6. Experience in polish rectification.
