We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist behaviour team within a primary school setting. This rewarding role involves supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to regulate their behaviour and thrive academically and socially.
About the Role:
* Work within a small, supportive behaviour team based in a breakout area designed to help students regulate and manage behaviour.
* Provide tailored support to students across all primary year groups, fostering positive relationships and a calm learning environment.
* Offer additional support within the main classroom as needed, working closely with class teachers to enhance engagement and progress.
* Help implement behaviour plans and strategies, contributing to a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience working with children with SEMH needs or similar behavioural challenges.
* Be resilient, empathetic, and committed to supporting every child to reach their potential.
* Work effectively as part of a team while also being confident in managing situations independently.
* Hold relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) or have demonstrable experience in a similar role.
