Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance and Environmental Manager to join our team at HRGO Recruitment in Earl's Colne, Colchester, Essex. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality, health, safety, environmental, and facility management functions at our Essex site.
About the Role
This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits. As Senior Quality Assurance and Environmental Manager, you will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, and drive continuous improvement in QHS&E performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, update, and maintain company QHS&E procedures.
* Investigate and resolve supplier and internal non-conformities efficiently.
* Handle customer complaints, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and involved.
* Oversee the annual QHS&E schedule and conduct internal audits.
* Promote a culture of health and safety, engaging all employees to raise awareness.
* Conduct health and safety risk assessments.
Travel Requirements:
Ongoing travel to other facilities and suppliers may be required as part of this role.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree or HND/HNC in Engineering (preferably with an electronics background).
* Strong ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively.
* Understanding of hazardous area quality systems and relevant industry standards.
* In-depth knowledge of quality and environmental management systems.
Working Hours and Salary:
The working hours for this role are 40 hours per week, from Monday to Thursday (07:30 - 16:30) and Friday (07:30 - 13:30). The salary is £45,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits.
