Job Title: Child and Family Co-ordinator
Salary: £26,500 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: 30 hours per week, 52 weeks a year, flexible over 5 days as required

Job Purpose
To co-ordinate the delivery of high-quality child and family services across three sites, ensuring effective team support, inclusive programme development, and a strong focus on the wellbeing of staff and clients. This role involves managing small budgets, maintaining safeguarding standards, and fostering a collaborative and engaging working environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Service Coordination and Delivery
• Work closely with the Project Lead and wider team to support the delivery of Child and Family Work across five sites.
• Create and manage staff timetables, ensuring adequate session coverage and making adjustments for sickness, annual leave, and absences.
• Take responsibility for overseeing and contributing to the upkeep of play settings across three Cwtches and two community venues. Ensure they are well-maintained, with any necessary repairs reported, worn-out toys replaced, and spaces kept safe, welcoming, and fit for purpose.
2. Programme Development
• Design, implement, and deliver fun, inclusive, and engaging programmes for children and families, particularly during school holidays.
• Plan activities that maximise experiences and opportunities while staying within budgetary constraints.
• Actively involve staff in planning, ensuring their voices are heard and their contributions valued.
3. Team Organisation and Motivation
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to support Child and Family Workers, the ALN Coordinator, and the Community Support Worker, fostering a positive and supportive working environment across the three Cwtches.
• Promote team growth by identifying areas for improvement and providing opportunities for staff to develop and use their skills.
• Ensure responsibilities are allocated fairly to create a balanced and positive working experience for all team members.
4. Data and IT Management
• Use and maintain databases to manage timetables, monitor session attendance, and maintain accurate records.
• Produce clear, concise reports for the Project Lead to use in reporting to funders and partners.
• Demonstrate excellent IT skills to support efficient and effective project delivery.
5. Community Engagement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, health visitors, and partner organisations to enhance collaboration and service delivery.
• Support and participate in community outreach events to strengthen connections and raise awareness of available services.
• Engage with clients and the wider community to understand their needs and incorporate their feedback into future service planning.
6. Budget and Resource Management
• Manage small budgets effectively, ensuring resources are used efficiently to deliver high-quality services and varied programmes.
• Work creatively within budgetary constraints to maximise enjoyment and opportunities for the community.
7. Safeguarding, Health and Safety, and Compliance
• Ensure all child protection concerns are promptly reported to the Project Lead and Safeguarding Officer, and recorded in line with organisational safeguarding procedures.
• Take shared responsibility for health and safety, ensuring compliance with relevant policies on- and off-site.
• Promote equality, inclusion, and diversity across all areas of service delivery.
8. Problem Solving and Adaptability
• Manage challenging and difficult situations with calmness and empathy, working to resolve issues effectively.
• Remain solution-focused, adaptable to changing demands, and resilient under pressure.

• Demonstrate Strong IT Skills: Effectively use databases, monitor project attendance, and produce high-quality reports outlining challenges, achievements, and progress.

• Handle Pressure and Challenges: Stay calm, empathetic, and solution-focused in demanding or challenging situations.
Desirable Qualifications
• Level 5 CCPLD (Children’s Care, Play, Learning, and Development).
• Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject.
Minimum Requirements
• Level 3 CCPLD.
• Significant experience working in Health and Social Care or community-based settings, particularly with children and families in communities affected by poverty and deprivation.
