Adolescent Practitioner
Duration: Initially 3 months
Hours: 36 hours per week
Rate: Up to 25 umbrella an hour dependent on experience (up to 20 PAYE an hour)
Location: Tandridge
Surrey County Council are looking for an Adolescent Practitioner to join their children's service.
Responsibilities:
* Take a lead role in providing and coordinating consent-based intensive early help support to children and families
* Support whole families through a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, utilising motivational interviewing skills and effective relational approaches
* Coordinate key support services and professionals with families to form an engaged, active and effective Team Around the Family
* Ensure casework is adequately recorded
* Be the lead practitioner for a full caseload of families
Requirements:
* Vocational Qualifications Level3/4 or equivalent in relevant field with practical knowledge of service user group needs, or equivalent experience
* Able to plan, manage and prioritise a caseload and seek guidance where necessary
* Experience of working with the user group and of staff supervision where appropriate
* Experience of working with vulnerable young people and families/carers in the target
* Educated to GCSE or A level standard
* Valid UK driving license and access to a car
