Marketplace is a key pillar of our strategy to be 'Easily the Most Convenient' grocer, offering customers the opportunity to shop a broad range of 3rd party products, alongside their core grocery basket, seamlessly on Tesco.com. To support with building Marketplace, we are in need of a Lead Business Development Manager who will help us translate our strategy into action by recruiting and managing a set of sellers to deliver a compelling range proposition for customers and achieve our GMV targets. As part of the Online Marketplace team, accountability will be focused on identifying, engaging and recruiting a compelling set of sellers to list on our Marketplace Maintain a pipeline for new sellers to be recruited onto the Tesco Marketplace platform, prioritising sellers using a data driven approach that aligns with our strategy on range offer Sign new sellers to the marketplace platform and work closely with them on range, merchandising and promotional strategies Identify product areas for future Marketplace growth based on understanding of commercial performance and customer opportunity Work with sellers to manage their accounts and ensure we achieve the commercial outcomes set out for Marketplace Work alongside the Tesco Commercial colleagues to develop and implement category level strategies Establish governance forums with Tesco Commercial teams and own relationships with category teams Lead a small team of Business Development Managers If this sounds like a fantastic opportunity then would love to hear from you Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single requirement.
