Grounds Foreman - Static Site
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Grounds Foreman on behalf of our client, a well-established and fast-growing company in the commercial property and grounds maintenance industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills and expertise in grounds maintenance to join a team working on a static site.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and supervise a team of grounds maintenance workers, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
2. Manage the scheduling and execution of grounds maintenance, adhering to contract specifications.
3. Carry out a range of horticultural duties, including pruning, seasonal bedding, grass cutting, watering, hedge trimming, and weed management.
4. Ensure all equipment is used properly and maintained regularly, reporting any issues to the line manager.
5. Submit daily reports, such as timesheets, site conditions, and vehicle checks.
6. Communicate professionally with clients, addressing requests and concerns in line with company policies.
7. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any hazards or issues.
8. Promote a positive team environment, encouraging safety, teamwork, and productivity.
9. Provide training to new employees on landscaping techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols.
10. Ensure compliance with COSHH and Risk Assessment procedures.
Role Requirements:
1. Proven experience in commercial grounds maintenance.
2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Full clean driving license (essential).
5. PA1/6 spray license (desirable).
