Electrical Engineer - Power Transmission & Distribution

I'm working with an established company in the Power Engineering sector that's looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone keen to contribute to the development of transmission and distribution networks, particularly with renewable energy projects like solar, battery, and wind.
The role involves working on key grid connection projects, offering a mix of design, technical support, and site work. If you're looking for a position where you can develop your skills while working on meaningful projects, this could be the right fit for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Design overhead lines, underground cables, and conduct cable rating studies.
Carry out feasibility studies for grid connections on renewable energy projects.
Lead on-site investigations and route selection.
Prepare detailed material specifications, BOQs, and design reports.
Contribute to the development of design processes.
Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team, supporting all stages of the project from design to delivery.
Assist with tender submissions and conduct on-site quality audits.
What You Need:
A degree in Electrical Engineering (NFQ Level 8).
Some relevant industry experience would be beneficial, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are just as important.
Strong technical and design skills, with proficiency in MS Office.
Familiarity with AutoCAD is a bonus, but can offer training if needed.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
A flexible approach to work and a full driver's licence.
