Our not-for-profit client based in Swindon is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to join their team, developing and maximising strategies to grow revenue. Taking charge of their Channel and Apprenticeships division, you’ll be responsible for 3 direct reports, supporting them in their consultative, customer-centric account-based roles.
Working closely with the Director of Sales, the Strategic Account Manager will take responsibility for sales forecasting, building strong relationships with key external and internal stakeholders to drive growth and provide coaching and training to the sales team to maximise their performance and development.
This role is remote first, with one day per month required in the Swindon office and visits to clients, partners and suppliers as required. Offering an annual base salary of up to £45,000 plus a bonus of c£25,000 per year, this is an exciting opportunity to make an impact working for a not-for-profit organisation and supporting them in their mission.
In the role of Strategic Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
Leading and motivating 3 direct reports to meet and exceed KPIs.
Crafting and implementing effective sales strategies for the UK and Ireland.
Building and maintaining relationships with key partners, distributors, and stakeholders.
Driving sales team excellence through mentoring, training, and performance management.
Managing a small portfolio of high-value accounts directly to maximise opportunities.
Keeping the organisation ahead of market trends with industry insights.
Skills and experience:
Proven experience in sales management with channel teams achieving high value revenues.
A track record of double-digit revenue growth and solution-selling success.
Strong leadership skills to develop and inspire high-performing sales teams.
Expertise in account management and sales strategy implementation.
Knowledge of Learning & Development or IT channel operations.
