1. Week 1: Monday/Tuesday Day shift, Thursday/Friday/Saturday Back shift
2. Week 2: Monday - Friday Day shift
3. Week 3: Monday - Thursday Day shift, Friday Back shift
4. Week 4: Tuesday - Friday Back shift, Saturday Late shift
(Example shifts: Day shift 8am-4pm, Back shift 2pm-10pm, Late shift 4pm-midnight)
5 days over 7, including evenings and weekends.
South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Catering Manager to join the team at Rutherglen Town Hall. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the catering and bar provision within Rutherglen Town Hall, which includes:
* Conference & events
* Weddings
* Parties
* Meetings
You must have a proven track record of supervising and overseeing all operational aspects of events including conference, banqueting, and weddings. Experience in staff supervision, stock management, legislative compliance, health and safety, menu planning, food preparation, and various IT packages is essential, along with good communication and organizational skills.
Previous experience of working within a customer-focused organization and REHIS (intermediate level) qualified are essential. The ability to lead a team in a motivated and enthusiastic manner is crucial for this role.
This post requires some evening and weekend shifts to meet the needs of the venue.
Responsibilities:
The catering manager will be responsible for the overall management of staff, stock, and ordering of supplies. They will assist the chef with food preparation for weddings, the café, and other catered events, as well as participate in service-wide menu planning from yearly menu updates to weekly café specials.
